Julie Adelchanow, CST, Administrator
Julie began at the Surgery Center of South Bay over thirty years ago as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. She has taken on many aspects of the facility including maintenance, Safety and Credentialing. By overseeing many Accreditation surveys and studies, Quality Improvement remains her focus to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. She is a member of the Disaster Coalition Advisory Committee; a part of the Emergency Medical Services Agency of Los Angeles County. She represents the Ambulatory Surgical centers, which may provide care in the event of a county wide disaster.
Julie took on the Center Director position at the end of 2013 and is dedicated to making the Center a positive experience for the staff, physicians and especially the patients and their families.
Julie is married with three children and one grandchild and loves spending her free time with them. Although a California native, travel has always been a top priority for her, as well as community service and efforts to improve the environment
Keisha Passmore, ST, Purchasing Coordinator
Keisha started at the Surgery Center of South Bay in 2004 as a Surgical Technologist. After the first year, she trained as a Materials Coordinator and is responsible for all facility purchases. It was evident early on that Keisha was perfect for this job as she exhibits the necessary qualities of organization, people-friendly skills and the ability to keep the surgeon’s and staff happy, all while staying on top of the budget.
Keisha has a son in college and in her free time she likes to attend jazz concerts and hang out with her family and friends.
Tiffany Felis, RN, BS, BSN, Lead RN of Pre-op and PACU
Tiffany received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, California.
Tiffany started her career at the Surgery Center of South Bay in 2005 as a Pre-op and PACU Registered Nurse. After starting her family, working part-time, then returning back to full-time, Tiffany is now the Lead RN of Pre-op and PACU.
Tiffany is married with two children. She spends most of her free time with her children, going to their sporting events, and training at Torrance Crossfit.
Joe Devine, M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Devine received his BA from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California. His Internship and Residency in Anesthesia were both done at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Devine has been practicing Anesthesia in the South Bay since 1985, is currently on staff at Little Company of Mary Providence Medical Center and has been the Medical Director at the Surgery Center of South Bay since 2004.
Dr. Devine is married with two grown daughters. He spends much of his free time in the outdoors; snow skiing, sky skiing, wakeboarding and traveling.
